Appointments

In order to provide appropriate medical care, this office operates by appointment only. Every effort will be made to accommodate your family in a manner appropriate to your medical needs. For example, we ensure that sick children and pregnant women are seen on a same day basis.

To keep the office running smoothly, it is extremely important that you try to inform the staff of the type of visit you require to assist in booking an appropriate appointment time. Please indicate if you require a regular visit, a longer visit for counseling, a complete physical examination or simply an injection.

If you book a same day “fit-in” appointment, be advised that you are only to discuss the urgent medical problem at during the visit. We kindly ask that you honour your appointment times and notify the office of any cancellations at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in a financial charge.

Telephones

Few medical problems can be dealt with adequately and safely by telephone. Telephone advice from a family doctor requested by you is not always feasible, but when provided, is a non-OHIP benefit and is charged as outlined in our Guide to Uninsured Services.

Prescriptions

The physicians will prescribe an appropriate amount of medication to last you until your next office visit. It will be important for any patients taking regular medications to keep an updated drug card on them at all times. Medication renewal without an office visit is not always appropriate, but when provided, is a non-OHIP benefit and is charged as outlined in the Guide to Uninsured Services pamphlet Please advise your pharmacy to fax the office with a request for a prescription renewal. Our office does not renew prescriptions by telephone.
