As many of you know, the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) pays for most of your medical visits here at the office. Due to the financial state of our health care system, some medical procedures and most administrative services are no longer insured by OHIP. However, these services are still provided by this office and require significant time and resources to administer. Therefore, payment for these services have become the responsibility of either the patient themselves or the agency requesting the service.
For your convenience, we continue to offer two payment options for some of these services: an Annual Administrative Payment or Payment at the Time of Service. If you have any questions regarding these options, please don’t hesitate to ask the doctor at your next visit.
Option 1: Annual Administrative Payment
This option allows an individual or a family to pay one annual fee, which covers most of the uninsured administrative services. It can amount to substantial savings if unexpected needs arise over the year. It also helps reduce the amount of time the office staff spends sending out individual invoices, and allows them more time to provide patient care. For this we are grateful.
In 2005 we are pleased to be able to maintain the same rates for the Annual Administrative Payment as last year :
Family - $130 Individual - $65 Single Parent Family - $100
Option 2: Payment at the Time of Service
This option allows you to pay for only the services you use. We accept cheque, cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard. Payment is due at the time of the service. Outstanding invoices not paid in 30 days will be mailed to you. |
